Over 80 Combined Years Of Maritime Law Experience
Rachel is a life-long Alaska resident. From an early age Rachel knew she wanted to work in the legal community; and has done so for the past 20 years. For years, Rachel’s practice focused on the area of personal injury claims, and then maritime injury claims – primarily vessel injury claims in the commercial fishing industry. In addition to her experience working as a deckhand commercial fishing in Alaska waters, Rachel has extensive experience in dealing with the United States Coast Guard regarding vessel and vessel casualty matters. In serving our clients, Rachel works hand in hand with vessel architects and engineers, medical care providers for vessel injuries, maritime adjusters, and most importantly injured seamen and their families. Her commercial fishing and maritime legal work have taken her to all parts of Alaska, including Southeast Alaska, Kodiak, Bethel, Kotzebue, Hooper Bay and Fairbanks.
Rachel is a graduate of the University of Alaska, Anchorage, where she earned an Associate of Arts Degree and Paralegal Certificate. She served as both a member and board member of the Alaska Association of Paralegals.
When not working, Rachel enjoys traveling, discovering new places, meeting people, gardening, camping, hiking, fishing, snowboarding, and other winter sports and activities with her husband and two daughters.
